The ability to take complete control of their print and marketing collateral sourcing has helped Teachers Mutual Bank reduce their buying effort, costs and eco impact.
Story
One of Australia’s largest mutual banks wanted to manage the entire sourcing and job-management process for all their print and marketing services in-house with their production and design team.
Challenges
The team also had to incorporate two additional banks into the mix (UniBank and Firefighters Mutual Bank).
Teachers Mutual Bank (TMB) has strong corporate social responsibility standards through community investment in ethical businesses, winning the World’s Most Ethical Companies Award for an impressive three years in a row. So, a supply chain that could meet their environmental objectives was crucial, allowing them to select suppliers on more than just price.
Solution
Finsbury Green incorporated Sourceit, our proprietary software for sourcing, job management, inventory and print on demand. Our Account Management team provided expert advice and support with a bespoke supply chain and introduced a colour-management program to ensure brand consistency.
We also provided an inventory-management solution through Sourceit that enabled TMB to decentralise ordering of print and promotional items from an online catalogue through a central warehouse. Decentralising ordering allowed branch staff to efficiently order to their requirements.
Using our Finsbury Green Star Rating system, we introduced more diversity to meet TMB’s strong sustainability criterion when selecting suppliers, with Forest Stewardship Council suppliers validated through Sourceit and CO2 reporting on supply chain performance which feeds into TMB’s annual reporting.
