The Victorian Government benefits from the increased value Finsbury Green delivers in print and associated services.
Story
Nine years ago we took on this huge and challenging contract. With a clever approach and awesome software, we’ve delivered a model that is the standard in the industry for print management and led to three other state governments awarding us contracts.
Solution
Reduced buying costs
Sourceit, our proprietary sourcing software has driven greater transparency and contestability. Sourceit disrupts the status quo with existing supplier relationships by providing contestability which delivers cost savings and real value for money.
Transparency
There’s no better example of Finsbury Green’s vision and innovation than the development of our market-leading technology Sourceit in 2010 and launched globally in 2016.
It has been instrumental in driving more open, transparent and customer-focused solutions in the global print management market.
It ensures customers and suppliers have access to all information required to complete the bid process and manage jobs and inventory transactions through a single online application.
Reduced effort
Our HUB+ Team manage eight government departments and 60 agencies.
Sourceit helps us process hundreds of transactions each month while making the right decisions at the right time. It is an essential tool to help us maximise our staffs’ productivity, so they have more conversations with customers. Sourceit does this by automating the dull stuff and being really easy to use.
This includes government users of Sourceit who order products as well. The ease of use and simplicity makes them more productive too.
Reduced environmental impact
We are the leaders in print sustainability and together with the Victorian Government have reduced damaging carbon emissions created from print by 1,440 tonnes in the past three years alone.
We’ve done this through a combination of technology and education. Using Sourceit, supplier selection is based on capability, price, performance and environmental ratings.
We’ve assisted suppliers to implement better environmental practice and empowered customers with the ability to select suppliers on more than just price. Today most departments only use suppliers that have attained a minimum environmental rating.
Increased social enterprise participation
As leaders in our industry for social procurement we have delivered the technology and supply chain that enables the Victorian Government to connect easily with social enterprises to deliver profound social impacts through how they procure products and services.
Finsbury Green helped the Victorian Government achieve its Social Enterprise and Indigenous Business Procurement target for FY2020.
