Today, Edible Blooms offer much more than their signature edible bouquets. The range has literally ‘bloomed’ to include gourmet gift hampers, living plant gifts and fresh fruit and donuts. Their gifts are local, prepared with joy and delivered direct to door.
Challenges
Founder and Managing Director, Kelly Jamieson is as infectious as her products.
In the beginning we grew our business organically through strong word of mouth, although a lot of our time was spent explaining the concept of an edible bloom. Since then, we have ambitiously engineered our growth by expanding our world of gifts. The biggest has been with branded corporate gifts and personalised messaging.
Today, Edible Blooms is one of the most searched gifting companies in the region.
Solutions
Business has evolved over the last two years. Customers have respected the need to connect and stay in touch and that’s where we come in.
No one could predict the impacts of the pandemic; however, growth has been so significant they’ve brought forward some initiatives.
Like working with local food producers and distributing their products nationally.
Local food producers were significantly impacted by the pandemic and lost most of their tourism market. But through the inclusion of local produce in our gift hampers we were able to connect those dots to make our hamper range very successful while supporting local produce.
There’s been a clear shift with customers wanting Australian made and loving regional products. Through our work, brand discoveries have indirectly helped them too.
Adapting to constant change and always looking for new ideas has been critical because people expect change and new products.
